DC Electric T-Birds 18U Falls To Papillion After Sixth Inning Score

DC Electric T-Birds 18U lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat to Papillion on Wednesday. The game was tied at two with Papillion batting in the bottom of the sixth when N Barnett reached on a dropped third strike.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Papillion pitchers struck out 14, while DC Electric T-Birds 18U sat down eight.

Papillion opened up scoring in the first inning, when Scruggs homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

DC Electric T-Birds 18U evened things up at two in the top of the fourth inning. DC Electric T-Birds 18U scored one run when Caleb Lemon singled.

Colbert led the Papillion to victory on the hill. He went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out 14 and walking one.

Caden Eby took the loss for DC Electric T-Birds 18U. He lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out eight.

Lemon led DC Electric T-Birds 18U with three hits in four at bats.
