Anderson Strong At The Plate As DC Electric T-Birds 18U Defeats Central

 

Eric Anderson collected four hits in four at bats, as DC Electric T-Birds 18U defeated Central 9-5 on Wednesday. Anderson doubled in the first, doubled in the third, homered in the fifth, and doubled in the sixth.

Central fired up the offense in the first inning, when Jack Sullivan induced Brock Lakin to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

After Central scored two runs in the top of the sixth, DC Electric T-Birds 18U answered with two of their own. Central scored when Aaron Witkowski singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs. DC Electric T-Birds 18U then answered when Jackson Allred grounded out, scoring one run and Tyler Kephart drew a walk, scoring one run.

DC Electric T-Birds 18U took the lead for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Cam Madsen tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

DC Electric T-Birds 18U put up three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by DC Electric T-Birds 18U was led by AndersonCaden Eby, and Connor Schneider, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Sullivan led the DC Electric T-Birds 18U to victory on the pitcher's mound. He surrendered five runs on six hits over five innings, striking out five. Kephart threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Kephart recorded the last six outs to earn the save for DC Electric T-Birds 18U.

Keean Allen took the loss for Central. He surrendered seven runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one.

DC Electric T-Birds 18U launched one home run on the day. Anderson went yard in the fifth inning.

DC Electric T-Birds 18U saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. AndersonMadsen, and Eby each collected multiple hits for DC Electric T-Birds 18UAnderson led DC Electric T-Birds 18U with four hits in four at bats.

Central racked up eight hits on the day. Cole Kreber and Witkowski each had multiple hits for Central.
